Hi, I’m Kelly, the founder and tattoo artist behind Bugpin Tattoo Studio. I’ve been professionally tattooing since 2016, after falling in love with the craft in 2015. 

Over the years, I’ve worked in a variety of shops, but I created Bugpin Tattoo Studio in 2024 to give clients the kind of experience I always felt was missing—one that’s deeply personal, private, and rooted in care.

My mission is to make sure every client feels safe, seen, and comfortable, whether it’s your first tattoo or your fifteenth. Tattoos are personal, and the space where you get them should be too. That’s why Bugpin operates by appointment only, offering a calm, private environment with no walk-ins, no rushing, and no sharing your time with strangers. You’re welcome to bring a few friends, enjoy some snacks and drinks, and make yourself at home.

When I’m not tattooing, I love hosting workshops, creating art, and dreaming up new ways to build community here in Flint. I believe in tattoos as a form of healing, expression, and empowerment—and I’m honored every time someone chooses me to be part of that journey.
